I came home to a rather frustrated wife today. The poor woman spent most of the day trying to get this Gallery software working on the UNIX based web server . After having PHP enabled last night on her website, she was determined to get this working. I must say, I am very impressed with how far she got considering the rather terse instructions this package came with.
Anyway, it's basically all done, only a few more things to do like compiling ImageMagick and stuff, after that it should work without any problems.
Goes to show that UNIX still has a way to go in order for non-geeks to be able to properly use it. The only way it's going to get there is if the geeks stop saying shit like "if it was hard to code, it should be hard to understand".
Oh well, some day, I hope.
