Another day, another euro
It wasn't easy to get out of bed this morning to go get ready for work. I'm telling you, working from home really spoils any kind of desire you might have had in the past to drag your ass to the office. Looks like things are going to get pretty hectic today. Got a few meetings and a guy from HP coming in this afternoon with a new XW8200 workstation. We have a bunch of issues with them and this is (yet) another loaner we hope will work properly. I guess we'll know soon enough. On another note, NVidia's accelerated driver for Itanium for RHEL 3 doesn't work if you use KDE. That's not KDE's fault in this case though. Seems like NVidia has just neglected to compile the driver against the correct threading libraries. We've been waiting for about 1.5 months for them to fix it now. Not bad for a certified driver for a certified platform backed by a large OEM. Grr!
Blogging without my favourite blogging tool sucks. I don't like this web interface much, but W.Bloggar doesn't run on my workstation at work. It's a library thing. To be honest, I am not even supposed to be able to install anything on this thing, but they couldn't possibly have been serious when they neglected to bundle a proper MP3 player? How else am I supposed to get through the day?
