Smooth as a baby's butt

I shaved my head completely bald today. To be honest though, it doesn't make that much of a difference seeing as I've been keeping at about 1mm for a long time now. Still, now that I have a great tan on my head, I must say I am quite pleased with how it looks. I did most of the shaving, Tammy finished the bits I missed. It's kind of hard to see where you're going with the blade when you're doing the back of your head.
My scalp is still a little red from yesterday. We went to the beach near Hoek van Holland. The sun was out and there was a nice breeze. Perfect weather to get crisped. We swam a fair bit and did some sun bathing. My back was quite red as were my shoulders and arms. Tammy was burned to a crisp and was feeling quite nauseous when we went to the cinema to go see I, Robot. We went together with our friend Alan. The movie was great, although some of the scenes that had a lot of shots of big heights made me feel a little sick. I don't like heights much.
I worked from home again today but as usual I didn't get quite as much done as I'd hoped because of things that kept creeping up from other projects. Grrrr. Guess I'd better have a word with my project manager, at this rate I'll never get this stuff finished.
On another note, Tammy finally got through to her "Inburgeringscursus" case worker. The "Inburgeringscursus" is a program for foreigners to learn dutch and more about the dutch society as a whole. They have to learn how the government works, all that fun stuff that few dutch people care about. They also learn dutch, of course. She has an appointment on Wednesday to go see the guy. They'll do an intake and all that stuff to see what her level of dutch is now. Once that's done, she'll be scheduled in for classes.

Phone number near Hoek van Holland

We saw this on our way to the beach yesterday. The bins all have a number that when you dial them, take you to a recorded message of a poem about the Hoek van Holland. Kind of cool, I thought. The Netherlands are full of random art like this. Often when in doubt, it's art.
