I have a bad cough at the moment. Normally that wouldn't be so bad but I also have a 2 hour presentation to give via a telecall/netmeeting type deal. That means I'll have to talk for most of that time. I wish the Nigerian general strike had been extended to this week as well. Why Nigerian? Well, that's the where the folks are I have to give the presentation to. Thanks to the wonderful world of the Internet we no longer need to fly over there to talk to these guys face-to-face. I did something similar a while back, a 3-way video conference powered presentation to folks in Malaysia and Brunei. That was kind of cool if it hadn't been for the fact that it took the telecom guys 45 minutes to fix the problems with the links in Brunei. All that is ancient history and today's technology will be somewhat less high-tech. I'll be using a headset and a webcam instead of a remote controlled tracking video camera. Oh well.
