Christmas at the Soldaats'

Currently listening to: Baby Bird - Jesus is my girlfriend (I think I'll go to Hell for having that on at Christmas)

Turkey ChestrubT'is Christmas time and the turkey is...getting a massage?!!? No, not really. Tammy is seen here rubbing the butter with herbs under the skin of the turkey. That way it will melt underneath the skin and keep all the juices in. Yummy! It's pretty big bird we got this year, too. Turkeyzilla weighs in at 4.8KGs, that's 10.5Lbs for you non-metric weirdos out there. It's full of home made stuffing, too. It's going to be beautiful, I'm sure of it.

Captain Destructo to the rescueThis morning was parcel opening time. We got some nice things from friends and family. However, the present that lasted the least amount of time was Bailey's new squeaky french fries toy, which was professionally destroyed by Bailey's alternate personality, Captain Destructo, in less than 5 minutes. A big thanks to everyone for their wonderful presents.
This year we also got a whole bunch of Christmas cards, 11 of them in all. That's an all time record for us. This might also be due to the fact that we actually sent cards ourselves this year. Two years ago we bought a batch and never got around to sending them, so we thought we'd send them last Christmas. That never happened either so actually biffed them this summer during a clean-out. So for those who received a card, you can rest assured that it was bought this year, so it's fresh!
