Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

It snowed! It snowed this morning and it looks really nice! It's 11:25AM now and some of it is still there. That's quite amazing considering the usual amount of time snow lasts is about 2 minutes after which it turns into sludge. I wish we'd had this at Christmas, but this is good enough. I am sure it has wreaked havoc with all the traffic.
In unrelated news, I've come across a very nice website by Unit-e. They make techno/electronic/trance stuff, using Open Source software on Linux only. The albums are available online for your downloading pleasure. The first album is a little rough on the edges. It's called "Inside the Atrium". Their second album, "Subharmonics of thought" is much more refined with some nice analogue sounds to it. "Looking back into the future", their 3rd album is smooth trance with some nice analogue sounds and nice beats. Worth checking out!
I am working from home today seeing as there's a plumber dropping by just after lunch to see how much it would be to get the pipes and drains moved to the dining room. The guy who came around on Wednesday was supposed to have a quote for us on Friday. I called him this morning and he assured me that he'd have it ready by this evening.
Lately, I've been playing a lot of Bejeweled2 on my Clie. This latest version is by far one of the most addictive games I have ever played. The graphics are stunning as I am sure the sound effects are. I don't have a proper sound chip on this PDA so I can't tell, but I've been told it's pretty amazing. There is only one draw-back to this game and that's power consumption. I get about 1.5 hours play out of a full battery. That said, I do have all of the fancy effects enabled but that's still not a whole lot of time. The game play is just totally awesome, though.
