Bad luck

This morning's train carriage was anything but the warm and toasty place it usually is. They must've forgotten to turn the heating on because with every breath I exhaled, a nice plume of condensation formed in front of me. Bad breath was not the cause of it.
Speaking of bad luck, I came across some funny stories again this morning. Now, when I say funny, I don't necessarily mean funny, haha. I have a very weird sense of humour and often find things funny when others don't. Well, without further ado, here they are.

Drinking bet
A 21 year old Dominican won a bet by slamming more than 50 shots of tequila. He didn't live to celebrate his amazing victory, however. That reminds me of the two Chinese men who had a race to see who could smoke the most cigarettes. The winner smoked more than hundred or so in a row and won. He later died of cardiac arrest. Idiots.

Break down during protest against bad equipment
If this isn't proof there is a God with a funny sense of humour, I am not sure what is. On the very day that the Belgian bus drivers decided to go down to their head quarters to protest the very bad state of their equipment, they had a break down. The fuel gauge in their bus indicated a full tank despite being empty. It wasn't until the tank had been refilled that they could continue to the venue. Talk about putting more fuel on their fire.

Acting lessons good for the doctor
According to the JAMA, a medical journal, empathy from their doctor can help a patient heal. However, not all doctors are capable of mustering empathy for their patients. No fear, says the article, it can be faked with some acting lessons. They recommend method acting where the doctor will actually attempt to live the same kind of pain and suffering the patient is going through. Next time your doctor looks at you with an understanding face, beware! He's probably just faking it and thinking you're just being a big baby.
