Long time no type
This weekend we've started sanding and painting the frames around the doors and windows. My neighbour was kind enough to lend me his mini sander. It's one of those Black 'n Decker Mouse ones. Sanding is hard work. The vibrations give you a dead arm in no time at all. The end result is awesome though. The pink is no longer to be seen on two frames. It's amazing how much difference that makes to the entire room.
On Saturday we had a look in the pet store. They have some really nice corner aquaria. Now that we have a big empty corner in the living room, we thought it might be nice to put one there. The one we've been looking at is a 190 liter one. It comes complete with heating system and a filter pump system.
Yesterday evening we went to the hardware store with our upstairs neighbours (Jan and Wendy) to go buy some more paint and other stuff we'll need for the house. I bought myself a nice big tool box for my, well, tools. On Thursday evening Jan and I are going to take out the door frame between the kitchen and bathroom to turn it into a wall. Apparently, he's done this before, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem for him. He is a carpenter/construction guy, after all.
I've been at a workshop yesterday and will be today as well. It's for a new upcoming project in which I will hopefully play a prominent role, at least in the engineering part. I can't give you any details since it's all hush-hush right now. Needless to say it'll be pretty interesting once we get it all started up, hopefully.
