Two strings

Currently listening to: Altern 8 - Everybody

Since there are no Sunday newspapers available to me within a 10 minute walking range, there will be no editorials today. However, I do have a little joke. I must warn you that it is a very geeky joke.

Two strings walk into a bar. The bartender says, "What'll it be?".
The first string says, "I'll have a gin and tonic#MV*()>SDk+!^&@P&]JEA￿".
The second string says, "You'll have to excuse my friend, he's not null-terminated."

If you're not a programmer or a geek you will not get this joke. That's your loss, I'm afraid.

I'm still trying to figure out a better look for my blog. My creative skills, however, do not range into the artistic side of things. I am more of a functionality person. That is also the reason why Tammy does most of the interior design of the apartment and I do the "executive" part, i.e., filling holes in walls, moving heavy stuff from one side of the room to the other. I am quite happy with this arrangement, it carries a lot less responsibility. Tammy loves to go on about how this room will be done this way and the other room will be done that way. Just tell me what to put where. I can't paint either, this became evident in our last apartment. Even a flat wall with a flat paint is something I haven't mastered. I have no problems with put ting things together, though. Give me a cupboard, desk, kitchen, whatever, I'll assemble it in no time. That's probably why I loved Technic Lego so much as a kid and why I still haven't got rid of it. Some day when I have a little more time, I might start playing with it again. There's nothing childish about Technic Lego, not when you're making robotic arms and computer controller plotters with it.

I finished reading both The Davinci Code and Angels and Demons. These books were really awesome and very hard to put down. I am currently making my way though Digital Fortress which is also a very good read. I've only read the first few chapter and it's already got me in its grip. I have found some similarities in his books, common threads, which I hope are not repeated throughout all his books. I am not talking about character names, but more like plot lines and character types. I guess I'll just have to read the damn books and see. I don't want to read "formula" stories, God knows there are enough of those. Just look at most Hollywood movies today.

Tammy and I just had a funny conversation:
Tammy: " Did you like those Fajitas I made last night? They were good, huh?"
Me: "Umm...I suppose you want me to make breakfast, then?"
Tammy: "Yes."
I guess you had to be there.
