Miserable and cold
Looks like the nice warm spring days are gone again. It's been raining for the past two days. Not the hard torrential downpours, but the misty, cold rain that gets into all of your clothes.
I am, once again, in Data Center 1. It's not exactly rocket surgery today. I have to reinstall a server with CDs that pretty much do the whole thing automatically and insert another CD into another server so that someone from Houston can fiddle with it. Sounds exciting? Well, it's not. The thing that annoys me about going to DC1 is the fact that it can take me anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on trains and metros. I won't have to spend a lot of time on the computer floor, though, thank God.
Tiny Tim, the smaller of the two kittens upstairs, is doing well. He's been drinking from his mum with additional formula from a small syringe. I sure hope his back legs are going to be OK by the time he's ready to walk. They don't look nearly as swollen and blue as before. I guess we'll just have to wait and see until he's a little older. Right now both kittens still have their eyes closed and are little more than slightly furry worms.
It's almost weekend again. I am not sure what we'll be doing this weekend. Perhaps a little more work on the house. Things have been at a stand-still lately. We started off with great gusto but it sort of died down. The upstairs neighbour and I did put up a big piece of plywood on the part of the wall where the mirrors used to be the other evening. The screws wouldn't hold it down properly so he slapped a whole bunch of glue on the thing. This stuff can be used to glue a house together, almost.
I think I might take down the tiles in the bathroom this weekend. The tiler guy will be able to retile the whole place in about 4 weeks or so. In the mean time I can cover the wall with some pastic or something. I'd rather that than a tile smashing onto the floor and slicing our legs open while we shower. Some of them came off a week ago and the edges looked very sharp.

Nope, but possibly one of the few that leave a comment.
I'm guilty of reading and not commenting. Until now.
