Working from home!

I am working from home today. I have to do a bunch of testing but since the machines I am testing are in a very remote site anyway, I may as well test from the comfort of my own house.
This evening we're going to Cirque Du Soleil. I can't wait to see them. I have heard so many wonderful things about them. The show starts at 20:00.
Yesterday I had another driving lesson. That went extremely well, the instructor said that apart from driving a little bit too slowly and not doing enough engine braking when entering a bend, I'm pretty much done. I have to do my theoretical exam before I can do my practical. I can do the theoretical exam across the road from where I work though, so that's great.
After so many days of shitty, cloudy and rainy days, the sun is finally shining full blast. Sure, there are still a few clouds here and there but the weather forecast says it'll be a whopping 18C this afternoon. I know that doesn't sound like much but you take what you can.
In other news, Tammy has done extremely well in her last Dutch exams, despite the fact that she didn't go to pretty much any of the classes. That either means she's very good at learning Dutch or the tests are very simple. I'd like to think the former, of course.
Yesterday, the company we ordered the hutch and coffee table from on Saturday left a voice mail on my mobile to let us know that the top part of the hutch was not going to be available until 8 July. This was after the sales person assured us that we could pick everything up on Monday(yesterday). Tammy didn't think that this was in any way acceptable and called up to complain about it. The lady she had on the phone was quite rude and refused to put someone on the phone who could speak English and assured her that no one in the shop was able to speak English. She wouldn't give her name of put her manager on. After a call to the headquarters, Tammy received a call from the store manager who was very apologetic and promised to make phone calls across the region to see if this part was in storage somewhere. He also gave us free delivery of the part to our home. The squeaky wheel gets the grease! The new coffee table looks very good but Tammy is still a little paranoid about damaging it. I had to have my dinner plate on a towel (for the stains) and a thick book (for the heat from the plate). We're going to have to get some place mats, asbestos covered, I'm sure. I have to admit, though, I'm a pretty messy eater and have been known to spill a glass or two, or three.
