Our good friend
Erwin came over this weekend. Tammy had said he was coming to the Netherlands a while back but both of us had forgotten again. Then on Saturday morning we both got an SMS saying he'd like to come over after he'd gotten some sleep. Naturally we panicked because the house was in a bit of a state. The house was spic and span after not too much effort though.
We thought we'd go see
Batman Begins since trying to get into
War of the Worlds would probably be impossible since it only went into premiere earlier that week. Well, how wrong were we?
Batman Begins was packed! Of course, so was
War of the Worlds but our plans for a night's entertainment were foiled. Instead, we decided to go have a nice bite to eat at the
American Dream Cafe. The food was great, as always.

Yesterday was spent just lazing around and playing the Game Cube. I bought a new game on Saturday. I've wanted an arcade style, player versus player beat-em up. I spent about an hour or so going through 3 shops, trying to find a game like this. I was about to give up when I came across
X-Men: Next Dimension in the For Sale section. It's a really great game and some of the special moves are awesome looking. By the end of the day, all of us had sore thumbs from playing so much. I also bought another game called
Pro Rally 2002, also in the bargain bin but in a different shop. Neither of these games seem to have gotten a great review but I think they're fun and that's what matters in the end.
