So exciting!!!
I found this garbage in my company inbox this morning:
Dear Colleagues,
A special pop-up message will greet you on your GI machines on 20th July 2005. This is to commemorate the historic first day of trading for <COMPANY NAME> shares; a unification of <COMPANY A> and <COMPANY B>. It is designed to create excitement on the day and to draw attention to this important change for <COMPANY NAME>. To be able to run this pop-up message, a program will be installed on your machine on Friday 8th July 2005 as follows:
Europe/AF/ME/VSAT : 10:00 am BST/UK Time - 11:00 am LDM/The Hague time [GMT+2]
I am just wondering how the hell a pop is supposed to create excitement, perhaps it has pictures of naked gogo dancers on it. We get bombarded with this kind of garbage all the time. I actually have a mail filter that throws most of this crap into the trash as it comes in. Once a week I have a look at what has amassed there, it's usually not nearly as exciting as this though.
