Clean up of the test room

Last Friday and yesterday we spent a good amount of time tidying up the test room at work. For some "Before" pictures, check out this post. Between the time those pictures were taken and the ones above, the number of machines had grown considerably as did the number of unlabled cables. Time for a serious clean up. The machines are now organised very neatly, all cabled up and tied together with velcro tiewraps. Not a single item remains unlabled, it's OCD heaven. We now have 2xHP XW8000s, 2xHP XW8200s, a SUN Blade 1500, a SUN Blade 1000 and 2xSUN Ultra 60s. We have more stuff in our basement lab, but we rarily go down there, all those machines are used remotely.
Sunday's dinner with Paula and Antonio was great (the bald, non-Latin American person on the left is me). The food was great and really cheap. Dinner for both of us was less than €35, that included some drinks, two meals and two desserts (both eaten by me). We chatted away for about 3 hours or so. They're very nice folks. He's studying management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and she's doing the same Dutch integration course Tammy is.
Some idiot tried to put a grilled sandwich on eBay which apparently bears the face of the Virgin Mary. WTF? eBay took it down after a while but not before some other idiot had already put a $22,000 bid on it. What is this world coming to, I ask you. Other people have tried to sell their virginity on eBay. For everything that someone is willing to put up for sale, there's at least one other person out there willing to pay money for it. I attended a very interesting seminar at the SANE 2004 presented by one of the architects at eBay. He said that in the US there are about 190,000 people who are wholly dependant on their sales on eBay for their income. I guess Holy Mary sandwiches for $22,000 each would be an easy buck. I am sure I can make a couple of those a year.
